Apple Cider Vinegar: a New Drug of Choice?

If you haven’t already, it may prove time to

add a shot or two of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

to your immune system-boosting bag of tricks.

For centuries ACV has been around to keep the ancients

on the globe healthy and free of disease.

Traditional amounts are 2-3 teaspoons of ACV

in an 8 ounce glass of water three times a day

adding honey to taste.

Wow.

ACV kool-aid…an elixir of the apple and honey bee Gods, no doubt.

Arthritis, kidney and bladder issues, kidney stones,

fungal issues like athletes foot, acne, asthma,

candida, cholesterol, colds, coughs, diabetes

skin issues like eczema, lack of energy,

digestive issues and food poisoning, hay fever,

headaches, acid reflux and heartburn, sore throats,

weight-loss, leg cramping, menstrual issues,

menopausal symptoms like hot flashes and

night sweats, dry skin and hair and the list goes on.

We have been bestowed with a gift.

ACV, loaded with potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorous,

iron, beta-carotene, pectin and more,

is made from fresh and ripe apples

which undergo a fermentation process to create the final product.

Pectin aids in lowering cholesterol

and regulates blood pressure.

Potassium aids in improving hair quality,

nail and teeth strength as well as sinus issues.

Beta carotene can counter free radicals and assist in softening skin.

Weight loss is another potential side-effect

of consuming ACV daily because of the ability to break down fat.

Dissolving uric acid deposits around the joints,

ACV can definitely help relieve joint pain.

An eighty-five year old customer swears by ACV,

totes it as the key to her amazing health,

and has a constant supply in her

refrigerator–a pitcher made up of ACV,

honey and water–that she drinks throughout the day.

The Father of Medicine, Hippocrates was believed

to have two remedies in his medicine bag:

honey and apple cider vinegar and that was back in 400 BC!

Obviously, ACV can still hold its own.

We are lucky to have easy access to

such a miraculous wonder tonic.

Drink the aforementioned elixir,

put it on your salads mixed with olive oil for a tangy dressing,

use it as a hair rinse for added conditioning,

even in the laundry, add 1/4 cup to each wash load,

enjoy soft skin,

and the entire myriad of health benefits.

Raw ACV from Bragg is my favorite brand

and I sell tons of it.

For some it may be an acquired taste,

simply increase the honey, folks,

and allow your body to get used to

nature’s wonder drug of choice, Apple Cider Vinegar!

  6. Inspired, inspiring, inspiration!

    http://www.TheGardenDiet.com

from Jinjees newsletter, The Daily Raw Inspiritation

“And what started off as a small hobby site for Jinjee to share some info about how she ate, has grown to 100,000 visitors a month and increasing. We now have over 15,500 readers of this little daily raw inspiration email. TheGardenDiet.com is now ranked number 1 in google when you search for raw vegans! As this is all sinking in, and as we grow, we’re starting to really see the a new level of potential that this site has to communicate in a meaningful way with people all around the world.”

  7. I love the GardenDiet people….they look so utterly beautiful, radiantly healthy, glowing with the vital lifeforce…clearly, raw foods truly shine us up from the inside out and encourage the fountain of youth.

May we all who feel called to go raw and vegan
follow when the time is right!

For now, I’m a local, organic free-range human eating local, organic free-range animal products with pride and ‘good fats’ fulfillment.

If my health is ever compromised, you will see me go raw instantaneously.

  8. Way to go, good healthy local food grown by farmers who care, who put love into the molecular structure of what we eat. The health of the soil, the micro organisms that bring lustre and longevity to the plants and animals in the food chain.

I am reading “The Makers Diet” by Jordans Rubin at the moment. Only a few chapters in, but the take in this book is the avoidance of scavenger meat such as pork, crocodile, crustaceans and only free range, grass fed of the other.

Have just finished a brilliant book by Peter Andrews “Back from the Brink”. In it, he suggests that once soil is turned, it takes many years to re establish the soil biodiversity. Allowing the growth of ‘weeds’ speeds the process of rehabilitation. All he is espousing is a return to nature’s way of being. For those who are interested, here is a link to the book.

  9. I’m also reading “The Maker’s Diet” and “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” by Michael Pollen–another brilliant read.
Thanks for the heads up on Peter Andrews…looks good. Soil quality is such a crucial
link to the whole sustainable food chain.
